Named after the founders’ love for the colour blue and the ocean surrounding Capri, Blumarine embodies the distinctly feminine and romantic aesthetic built by Anna Molinari and her husband Gianpaolo Tarabini in 1977. Dubbed the Queen of Roses, the label heavily embraced rose motifs throughout the years and is now its signature symbol, adorning many pieces across its collections. Now, creative director Nicola Brognano wants his muses to feel ‘sexy, seductive, playful and not so serious’ by putting his own spin on the bold aesthetic, adding large 3D knitted blooms to the strap of a slinky slip dress, as well as digitally printing them onto flared pants, tops, blazers and dresses.
