We once got into a rather spirited debate with someone about men's designer coats. We were on the style over functionality side of the argument, while they went for warm and practical. If only we'd had the Browns Edit of designer men's coats on hand, because one glance at the tailored beauty of Balenciaga or the multifunctional silhouettes of Thom Browne would have shown us both that you can have a mix of all those things without having to pick sides.
