These black Bottega Veneta Plat sandals are crafted in Italy. The front straps are woven from strips of elasticated canvas and sit atop a moulded rubber footbed debossed with branding, while the tonal outsoles mimic the signature Intrecciato weave with engraved markings. Here we were thinking plaits were just reserved for pigtails and ponies – but these Bottega Veneta sandals opened our eyes to a whole new world for the beloved weave.
